Temple Square. My favorite place in SLC.

The day after thanksgiving we went to Tiffany's for dinner and then to see the lights at temple square. It was a perfect night.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We had it at our home for the first time- which was a little nerve racking but it turned out great. We flew Andy down from NC and then Mom and Dave drove down. It was a fun week. Carter loved having Pete home and when he went back to work he crawled around the house that morning saying Dadda? Dad? It was cute but kind of sad. We were sad Andy had to go back... and sad Katy and Jake weren't able to make it-they were in TX for a wedding. This time of year just reminds me of how thankful I am for Carter and Pete. They complete me in everyway. I am also very thankful for my brothers and sisters and for all six of my parents (Mom, Dad, Dave, Eleanor, Donna, & Larry.) Pete's family is exactly what I had hoped to have for in-laws. But most of all I am greatful for eternal families and for Heavenly Father making it possible through the Savior and Holy Ghost to return to live with them. What an amazing plan.

I love my mom.... she is a good mom.

As some of you may know my mom is the best mom.... tied with Pete's of course.... on the planet. I love her tons.

Madeline K. Burch AKA our Niece

Madeline is John and Keli's beautiful baby girl. She is destined to be a UNC fan by force of course. She is perfect and such a good baby.

Carter is ten months old and growing like a weed!

We can't believe how big Carter is getting. He is ten months old and is growing out of his twelve month old pants- in fact most of them are floods. He is wearing 18 month old pants and 12 month shirts. Crazy how big he is but he is so much fun I can't imagine how dull life would be without him. He is the happiest thing to happen to our family. He now says Dad, Mom, No, and Amanda. He calls her Mamba. It's cute.

Carters first time on grass!

Carter loves grass. I normally don't let him crawl around on it but the bees are gone for the year and so are the mosquitos so I let him give it a whirl. He thought it was cool.

Clover Dell First Annual Halloween Carnival

Thanks to Debbie Jorgenson and a bunch of other moms including myself we had a fun Halloween carnival in our circle. We had tons of things to do like frost halloween cookies, hit a pinada, make sucker ghosts, pin the nose on the pumkin, ect. It was a success and we had lots of kids come out. Carter and I didn't want to get all dressed up so we wore our black Halloween shirts from Old Navy and a Halloween tatoo on our face. It was a fun time and Carter enjoyed looking at all the kids.

Carter loves to be naked.

Like most babies Carter loves to be without the diaper. He crawls faster and climbs easier. If you look closley you can see his bottom two teeth that he has worked hard to get. For all you mom's out there- we have found teething tablets are way way way better than the teething gel for all parties involved.

Our Murder Mystery Night

In celebration of Halloween each year I do a murder mystery dinner. This year it was the "All my Children" soap opera dinner. It was really fun. Tiffany was a reporter, Amanda was an artist, Aunt Bonnie was the matriarch/wealthy lady in town, Uncle Mark was a lawyer, I was a once old model divorced six times, Pete was a business man whose business was shady, Becky and Blaine were millionaires, and Lydia and Becky were our amazing waitresses. Turns out Becky was the murderer and no one but Becky guessed that right!

Carter Trys Out His New Coat at Temple Square

We bought Carter a new coat for the winter. Isn't he cute in it? We went to temple square with Amanda this weekend and had a great time. The moon was full and by the temple- it was so pretty. We love the temple!

Halloween! Yes....

If any of you really know me you would know that I LOVE halloween. We decided to see if Carter's pirate outfit fit him so we dressed him up early. He will be a dinosaur for our Ward Halloween party thanks to Stacey and Scott and a pirate for Halloween night thanks to Andy and Katy. Thanks guys.

Carter is cuter every day.

Here are some random pictures of Carter. The first and last one in this bunch he is waiting for mom and dad to get ready for church. The middle ones he is just crawling around.... he is now 8 1/2 months old and growing like a weed.... We love him so much.

Carter Crawls!

Carter has been army crawling for about a week and a half. He is so strong he will be full on crawling before we know it. He loves to crawl down the hall because he can visit his room, the living room, our bedroom, the kitchen and unfortunately the bathroom.... we have to keep that door shut at all times. He loves the hall the most though because of the door stops that he can pull and makes noises with.

Can you get any cuter than this? I don't think so!

Carter is now 8 months old as of the 26th. He is so much fun that I can honestly say he makes me the happiest person on earth. He is my best friend in the whole world. We do everything together.... and I love it. I feel blessed to be able to stay home with him and I thank Pete for working so hard that I can do so. Carter has learned how to cluck with his tongue this week... after observing me for a couple days. He thinks it is so cool. He loves rice crispies and crispix. He is getting two teeth... they are almost busting through the gum. So we are getting there. We love him TONS.

A Nice Surprise

Last week I had a nice surprise when Robyn called to say her and my Aunt Cynthia were in town. I went to lunch with them and my Aunt Bonnie (my two favorite Aunts.) Then we went shopping and probably spent too much money.... but it was fun!

Wedding Pictures!

My sister in law Katy needed some pictures of my wedding bouqet (she made it.) Katy is going to do her sisters bouqet as well and wanted to see my flowers again. So I thought I may as well post some pictures on the blog. Pete and I have been married for two years and two months. We were married in the Salt Lake City Temple.... the temple I dreamed of when I was a child. And all my dreams have come true ten fold. I never thought I could be so happy in a relationship and to know it is for eternity makes it all the sweeter. I love my husband with all my heart.

The Hit and Run

Last night we got home late from an Orem Owls Baseball game. I went straight to bed and as Pete was getting ready for bed he heard a huge crash. He ran outside in time to see that a girl in a yellow jeep hit moms jeep and drove off. Needless to say we had to call the cops and be up until almost 4am getting everything settled. The Woods Cross Police are awesome and found the girl who hit the car about two hours after it happened which is good because her insurance will cover the damage. We feel bad for the jeep and also bad for the poor girl who most likely had a scary night. But no hard feelings. Accidents happen.

Carter LOVES his bath time.

Carter is now seven and a half months old and he loves to be in the water. He is so fun to watch in the tub. We love him soooooo much. I printed this picture off for the scrap book and Pete stole it for his desk so I had to print it off again.
