Documenting the day of Carters Birthday

Carters big day started out with frosting while he watched my mom and I make his Cake. He loved it! The cake I was told HAD to be a baseball.... I bet you'll never guess who demanded that. After a bath and a nap Carter and I went and did some last minute errands for dinner and the party. He LOVED his balloons. In fact it has been almost a week and he still carries the mylar balloon around. Then right before dinner we had a scare in which we thought there was an electrical fire in the walls so we had to call the fire department. We were kicked out of the house while they inspected. So we loaded into my moms Honda Pilot. That is going to be my next car... lots of seats. Once the fire department found no problems they let us back in. They think it might have been melted plastic from a furnace cleaning we just had. We then had the party and as you can see Carter has a favorite present. It was a good day all in all.

The Cake Shot

I was shocked Carter didn't attack the cake.... just shocked. He loves frosting. OBVIOUSLY FROM THE ABOVE PICTURE.

Carters Birthday Party

We can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. It is so much fun to have a one year old running around the house. Carter had a great birthday and was of course SPOILED. We can't help it. He loved all his gifts but most of all he loved the cake and icecream that Keli was feedinghim. He followed her around moaning for more. It was cute. The sad thing was Carter had just woken from a nap and was not too excited to open his gifts.... OH WELL. Maybe next year:) We love him and hope he is with us for 80 more years to come :)
